EVERY CHILD IS GIFTED AND TALENTED; GUARDIANS JUST NEED TO NURTURE THEM: TH. RADHESHYAM

Imphal 6th June, 2017 (DIPR): Education Minister Shri Th. Radheshyam said every child is gifted and talented; guardians just need to nourish these innate qualities without setting limits of what they can and they can’t. He was speaking as Chief Guest in the felicitation of the State Level Topper All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE – Class XII), 2017 at Slopeland Public School, Khongjom.

Congratulating the State Level Topper of AISSCE Class XII student of the said school Nongthombam Manoj Singh for his achievement, the Minister said, every child has its own strength and weaknesses. Parents and teachers, he said, should act as a mentor to strengthen their strength so that their weaknesses would fade away and making them a better person. With such topper students bringing laurels to the state, the minister said, such achievements and success of students will also encourage the other students for if one can do it everyone has also got the capability to do it. Such success, he further said, will also promote healthier competitive environments among the schools affiliated under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or not, which is a must in today’s competitive world, he added.

Toppers, he explained, to the students present in the function, that they are determined and self disciplined with relentless hard work, sincerity and punctuality towards their duty. Thus any student, he elaborated, can be a topper when they are imbibed with these qualities. Further defining on how and what makes the real essence of success, he said, it will be achieved only when the young students of today without any greed/lust starts working for the betterment of the people and contribute towards the progress and development of the society.

In the felicitation programme, Ex-Minister M. Nara Singh and Chairman Slopeland Public School Yendrambam Themboi Singh graced the function as guest of honour and president of the function. Teachers and student of the school were also present.(DIPR)
