IMPHAL, September 11 (DIPR): Irrigation and Flood Control Minister Shri Letpao Haokip chaired a meeting to discuss issue pertaining to construction of Heirok Branch Canal of Thoubal Multipurpose Project today at the Conference Hall of Old Secretariat.
The meeting was, amongst others, attended by Revenue Minister Shri Karam Shyam, Education Minister and MLA of Heirok A/C Shri Th. Radheshyam, Revenue Commissioner Shri Th. Chitaranjan Singh, Secretary of IFCD Shri Gopen Meitei, Thoubal DC Shri L. Nabakishore Singh, Chief Engineer of IFCD Shri G. Robindro Sharma, Director of Manipur Remote Sensing Application Centre (MARSAC) Dr. N. Randhir Singh, Director of Settlement Shri Salam Somorjit Singh and other high ranking officials of the IFCD.
After due deliberation, the members decided to take up construction works of Heirok Branch Canal at the earliest with the cooperation of all stake holders.
Heirok Branch Canal is a component of Thoubal Multipurpose Project. (DIPR)
