IMPHAL EAST CLUB FETCH THE TROPHY OF OORJA CAPF U-19 TALENT HUNT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2017

Imphal, 10th May 2017 (DIPR): The trophy of OORJA CAPF U-19 Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2017 has been fetched by the Imphal East Club today by defeating the Thoubal Club by 6 – 3. Thoubal Club managed to score just 1 goal in the second half of the tight match.
In the final match for girls, KRYPHSA, Naoremthong wins the match against ESU (Eastern Sporting Union ,Wangkhei).
A cash prize of Rs. 50,000 was given to each of the above winning teams.
After the final match for boys’ over, the closing ceremony of the OORJA CAPF U-19 Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2017 under the theme ‘Arise, Awake and Stop Not Until The Goal is Reached’ organised by the Assam Rifles was held at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
Education, Labour & Employment Minister Shri Th. Radheshyam, as chief guest of the function , handed over the prizes to the winners of the tournament.
The Oinam Bembem Devi Running Trophy for 2017 for girls was presented to N. Ratanbala, captain of KRYPSA while the P. Rennedy running trophy for 2017 for boys was given to Imphal East Club. Y. Gopi of Thoubal Club grabbed the player of the tournament trophy.
YAS Commissioner H. Deleep, Major General, Virendra Singh ,VSM, IGAR South, Laishram Sarita Devi Brand Ambassador of OORJA CAPF 2017, Manipur and Brigadier HK. Chauhan , Deputy GOC 57th Division attended the function.
Giving the vote of thanks, Virendra Singh, appreciated Shri Th Radheshyam for gracing the grand finale of OORJA CAPF U-19 Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2017.He also thanked the players of the tournament for taking part in this great talent hunt for football in the State. (DIPR)
