Senapati, June 12, 2017 (DIPR),: Intensified Diarrhoea control fortnight 2017 was launched today at Senapati Thong Upper Primary School, Senapati . Speaking on the occasion Chairman/DC, DHS Senapati, Shri Athem Muivah asks all the concerned staffs of different departments to join hands and make it a success. He said that Manipur state stood second position in the successful implementation of the program last year and urges all to work harder to become the best state in the country in implementing the program this time.
Addressing the gatherings Director/CMO (DHS), Senapati, Shri H.Loli Mao said that IDCF is being organised in the month of June as children below 5years of age are prone to this epidemic mostly in these rainy months. Stressing the need of maintaining personal hygiene he show the gatherings the Hand Washing Technique which is one the most important step of maintaining personal hygiene and asked the all the students present to teach the technique to their respective family members. Chief Medical Officer further said that the program will continue for a fortnight in all the schools and anganwadi centres throughout the district and besides creating awareness ORS pouches will be distributed by ASHA workers to all the houses which have children below the age of 5years and will also extend all necessary help if anyone found suffering from diarrhoea.
Besides Deputy commissioner and Cheif Medical Officer the function was attended by CEO,ADC Senapati,ADC staffs, DI/AI ADC Senapati and staffs of the Medical department.(DIPR)
