National Residential Workshop kicks off at IRE, Wangjing

With the theme “Managing Human Resource for Professional Excellence, Transforming Education beyond Education”, a 5 day National Residential Workshop kicked off with a simple function at the premises of the Institute of Rural Education (IRE), Wangjing,Thoubal District.

The residential workshop is organized by IRE Wangjing in association with Initiative & Intervention, New Delhi and Experimental Theatre Foundation (ETF), Mumbai.

Dr Mahaveer Jain, Hononary Secretary General, Initiative of Intravention, New Delhi, Manjul Bhadradwaj, Chief Functionary & Founder, Theatre of Relevance (TOR), Mumbai, S.Bihari Singh,Principal,YK.College,Wangjing and N.Rajivkumar Singh,Principal,IRE,Wangjing graced the opening function as chief guest and guests of honour respectively.

N.Ibotombi Singh,Founder Chairman,Institute of Rural Education (IRE) Wangjing attended the function as the functional president.

Speaking on the occasion, N.Rajivkumar Singh said,the main objective behind organizing the workshop is to give proper education to the trainee teachers of IRE, College of Teacher Education but sometimes outsiders also participated in the workshop.

Teachers take part main roles to make a better society. if the teachers were not well educated how can they make a perfect society. As such, the workshop is organized to make the teachers more responsible and to have better confidence in their profession with self commitment, he said.

We don’t want to educate the teacher only for certificate course in B.ED, he added.

 

In this workshop, we are going to do experimenting learning the resources which were hiding inside the human through structured exercise based on theatre and how can let them know all these things to the students, he added.
