Imphal, September 12, 2017 (DIPR): In a notification released by he Deputy Secretary (GAD) in relation to the upcoming 5 th General Panchayat Election 2017 to be held on Saturday, the 7 th October 2017, all Government Offices and Educational Institutions, Private Sector Undertakings and other establishments under the Government of Manipur located within the Panchayat areas of the election will remain close on the said election day in order to enable the employees to exercise their right to franchise.
Bank and other financial institutions within the Panchayat areas of the 5 th General Panchayat Election 2017 will also remain close for the said purpose.
Further, Government, Banks or other employees of private sector undertakings who are electors of the said election but serving elsewhere are also allowed to avail Special Casual Leave on the said day. (DIPR)
