Imphal, 17th April, 2017 (DIPR): Works Minister Shri Th. Biswajit said working with coordination and unity will bring success. Misunderstanding among the employees delays developmental work. He was speaking on the reception ceremony held at the conference hall of Public Works Department office, Khoyathong .The reception ceremony was organised by Public Works Department,Manipur.
He said the new government is trying to bridge the gap between the employees and the ministry. He stressed the important roles taken up by the Public Works Department. In the field of technical, Manipur is leading in the entire north east. The central government is giving special emphasis in the north east and Jammu and Kashmir in restoring peace and development. He further stated that the new government will request to the central government to wipe-out the deficit of our state at one time.
Upgradation of state high ways will be taken up very soon under Public Works Department. He also appeal to all contractors to give cooperation to engineers so that development works could be finished on time. He also said that the site for constructing performing Art, located at Gurgaon is retendered to construct a multipurpose building which will generate income of our state. The government is working for the welfare of the people. He also appeal to all to think globally and act globally.
Addressing the gathering, Commissioner (works) Shri K. Radhakumar said image building is very necessary and coordination and unity is needed to form unified Department .He also appeal to all newly joined employees to learn from their superiors and to contribute for the welfare of the department.
The reception ceremony was also attended by parliamentary secretaries Shri Awangbow Newmai, Shri L. Rameshwar and officials and staffs of Public works Department. (DIPR)
