MSAD Freshers’ Meet cum Social Gathering, 25th Sept. 2016 postponed!

It is very unfortunate to inform you all the freshers and students of Manipur here in Delhi that the Registrar office, University of Delhi had disapproved our application for booking the Sir Sankar lal Concert Hall for the “Freshers Meet cum Social Gathering, 2016 on 22nd September just three days before the program. It was planned to be held on 25th September, 2016. MSAD had submitted all the necessary documents along with a demand draft of Rs. 5000 that were asked by the Registrar Office . As per the rule, the application was forwarded by one faculty member from the University of Delhi ( A Manipuri faculty member). However, a week before, they had asked to submit the office address of MSAD and the ID proof of the applicant. It was already submitted. The office member told us that the application will be approved within two days just after the submission. On 22nd September, 2016 , MSAD received a call from the Registrar Office informing that they had disapproved our application without any reasons. On 22nd, Since morning, MSAD members had urged the authority to give the reason why they had wasted time unnecessarily if they did not want to give the said hall. At the last moment, at 5 pm the Assistant Registrar Dr. Naresh told in a meeting that “ there will be an innovation of the hall”. If there was a plan for innovation, all the staffs including the section officer should have known that and they should have informed before the procession of the application . MSAD had already informed to the authority that if the authority had only restriction to the Students of Manipur, than it would give a bad message to the students of Manipur who are studying in Delhi and also told them “ that would be a discrimination to the students of Manipur”. MSAD strongly condemned the attitude of the concern office and such kind of discrimination.

MSAD is committed to well come our freshers and its annual program. We will inform you all for the further information regarding this program as soon as possible.
