NCC 14th Battalion launches Cadet Management System (CMS)


NCC 14 (M) Battalion officially launched Cadet Management System (CMS) in Manipur at NCC office DM College Campus today. The Information Management System is developed by Kok Sam Lai Solutions who have launched a Product called “SIMs Lite”- a school management system earlier. With the new software NCC Group Imphal will have a convenient way to manage the Information of cadets, camp activities and certification.
Kok Sam Lai Solutions developed the system, considering the requirement and input from NCC. The whole idea of implementing CMS in NCC was conceive in January 2013 when Col A Hajela, contacted Kok Sam Lai Solutions.
Cadets, ANOs, Officers and everyone in NCC will benefit from the system as it will reduce the work load in registry and in keeping records and easy search mode. The details like a cadet belonging to one school in Manipur, his date of joining, attendance, photographs, bio data, NCC activities like shooting, Para gliding, drills, etc are regularly updated in the system which will enable NCC to manage the report of each and every cadet efficiently.
Kok sam lai solution will be training the officials of NCC to get acquainted with the software. There are more than 5000 cadets belonging to different institutes in Manipur enrolled in the 14th Battalion NCC.
“Earlier it was hard to manage the cadet manually but with CMS there will be a huge reduction of work load” says Col. Hajela.
“The opportunity to develop such a system for NCC is a great leap for our company” expressed Kok Sam Lai solutions team. 
“To deliver NCC the system they deserve is a great milestone after SIMs Lite” continued the team.
Currently CMS are deployed as Standalone System in NCC unit. There are plans to deploy the system in Group level in the near future, where Cadet Information may be Manage from one location. We might be able to deploy the system for the North East as a whole in near future expressed Kok Sam Lai solutions.
A training session was also conducted in the launching function today. Associated NCC officers who came from different parts of the State got enlighten with the use of the new software today through presentation and demonstration at the NCC Headquarter, Manipur.
