State level recitation competition held


Imphal, June 23, 2013: The eight state level recitation competition, 2013 was held at Langdum community hall, imphal east today.

 The competition was jointly organised by Kangleipak students: Association and Langdum Samaj Sudhar Dal youth club while Manipur times as the media partner. About 150 students took part in the said competition.

Thamarjit Karam, MLA Keirao AC, Md. Salam, Member Kyamgei zilla Parishad, Golmei Kachungna, Member Bamonkampu zilla parishad, Th. Bubhon, Pradhan Bamonkampu Gram panchayat, H. Suresh, Pradhan, Chanam Sandrok Gram Panchayat and Mutum Romeshchandra, Pradhan Keirao Gram panchayat graced the function as chief guest, special guest, president and guests of honours respectively.


Students learning in class nursery to class X competed in the three Category A, B and C for the coveted first prize of Rs.3000, second prize Rs.2000 and third prize Rs.1000. another interesting aspect of the event was the special open category wherein many matured men and women took part in the recitation competition.
