Aruna wins three Golds in 35th Master National Athletics championship 2014

Imphal, March 8: Manipur’s Laishram Aruna Devi bagged three Gold Medals in 35th Master National Athletics Championship 2014 held at Joypur, Rajasthan.

Organised under the aegis of Master’s Athletics federation of India, Manipur’s Athlete Laishram Aruna Devi got first place in the Master woman category showing her excellent performance by covering 4×100 mtrs. Relay in just 1.17 minutes, 400 mtrs hurdles in 2:8:2 minutes and 100 mtrs respectively.

Athlete Aruna Devi hailing from Keirao bitra village have been selected for the Master International Athletics championship to be held at Japan this year.

Irilbung library union, Youth Development centre club and Litan Makhong Youth club, Keirao, in a press communique, applauded on her achievement in the national championship.

 

Bagging 86 gold medals and 83 Silver medals, Manipur won overall team championship in the said championship participated by around 3500 athletes from 26 states of India.
