Lalambung localities sit in protest against abduction of Lourembam Sarat Chandra who is among the six officials of IFCD abducted by unknown miscreants. Other abducted officials include SE Karunacharya Singh, EE N Surchandra, Contractor of RM Sinha Company Kolkata Sanayaima, representatives of the company Devjit Sinha and Abhijeet Sinha.
They were abducted near Pukhao Bridge when they were returning from Dolaithabi after inspecting the construction of Dolaithabi Project gate.
Sarat Chandra who is 58 years old was under medication for Chest problem at the time of abduction and the family is worried as the medicine he carried along might be out of stock by now. They were abducted on 1st August and the last time when Sarat Chandra communicated to the family was at around 3.30 pm day before yesterday.
The protest urge the miscreant to release IFCD officials safe and sound.
