On 4th April 2015 Manipur Heart Foundation the Charitable arm of SKY Hospital & Research Centre held a Free Heart Camp for children at Wangjing Hodamba Awang Leikai Community Hall, Thoubal District in Association with Eastern Social Welfare Youth club. A total of 177 children of all ages were seen, and 32 adults, free ECG, Echo (Heart Scan) and medication were provided. Out of these 7 children with various forms of holes in the heart that need either open heart surgery or device closure were identified, 2 of them are quite critical. We are finding out if they are from below poverty line families (BPL) and trying to arrange for their operation/device closure free of charge at SKY Hospital. Next camp will be in Chandel District.
