Screening–cum-Rehearsal for the ‘Manipur Pineapple Queen Contest, 2014’ will be held on 9th August, 2014 (Saturday) at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul from 10:00am onwards. The contest is open to all eligible girls of Manipur. Aspiring contestants between the age of 18 – 30 years may report at the screening venue along with 4×6 recent photographs, I-D Card for proof of identity and age and a fee of Rs 500.00 (Five Hundred) only.
The contest is to be held during the 7th State Level Manipur Pineapple Festival at Sendra, Bishnupur District, Manipur on 23rd August, 2014 as part of promotional campaign of pineapple.
The winner of the Manipur Pineapple Queen Contest will be richer by Rs 50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand), the 1st runners-up with Rs 40,000.00 (Forty Thousand) and 2nd runners-up with Rs 30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand) respectively. There will be five sub-titles carrying a cash prize of Rs 5,000.00 (Five Thousand) each. Consolation prize will be arranged for all selected participants of the Contest.
