Motor Vehicle Act offenders pulled up, fined during Mobile court sitting

IMPHAL, December 6:  Various vehicle riders violating Motor Vehicle Act were pulled up and fined during the mobile court sitting conducted by the Mobile Traffic Court, Imphal East in collaboration with Imphal East Police and Motor Vehicle Department held as part of the national Lok Adalat.

Bench No 11 constituted for the National Lok Adalat comprising CJM Imphal East A Noutuneshwari Devi, K Dhane, S Deban, Advocate conducted mobile court sitting at Andro Parking during which 275 cases relating to Motor vehicle Act offences were taken up. At least Rs 45,200 could be collected from the erring riders as fine. At least 95 Vehicle riders without High security Registration Plate were also pulled up with imposition of fine during the mobile sitting.

During the mobile court sitting began from 7 am today morning, vehicle riders without driving License, Registration certificate, Insurance certificate etc were pulled up with fine imposition.

Mobile traffic court sitting is conducted to strictly implement certain public safety norms under the Central Motor Vehicle rules. Several instances of road mishaps have claimed thousands of precious lives due to violation of CMV rules. Driving at excessive speed, drunken driving, driving by minor, driving using mobile phone and driver’s failure to obey traffic signs etc are offendable to Motor vehicle Act. Such erring driving always lead to frequent accidents claiming lives, said CJM Imphal East Noutuneshwari.

The mobile traffic court sitting was also conducted at Lamlong Bazar by the Imphal East mobile court of JMFC Imphal East Wisdom Kamodang, Advocate Sumati and Michael Zimmik APP in association with Imphal East police, Traffic police and Motor vehicle department.

 

Imphal West Mobile traffic court also pulled up many vehicle riders violating Motor vehicle Act with fine imposition during the mobile traffic court sitting at BT Road.
