Scholarship for Civil Service Aspirants in the state of Manipur announced

03-05-2018 : The Thadou Students’ Association, General Headquarters (TSA-GHQ) in collaboration with ALS IAS Coaching Institute successfully held the Ceremony of Scholarship Announcement for Civil Aspirants in the State of Manipur today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal in the presence of Shri Th Radheshyam, Hon’ble Education Minister, Smt Nemcha Kipgen, Hon’ble Social Welfare Minister and Dr. J. Suresh Babu, Chief Secretary of Manipur as the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Functional President respectively.

Secretary General of TSA Shri Michael Lamjathang Haokip in his keynote address highlighted the commitment of TSA towards education and collaborating with ALS to assist deserving civil service aspirants in the state to achieve their dream career in the larger interest of our society.

Shri Prateek Bhatarcharya, National Sales Head, ALS formally announced and declared that Rs. 60,00,300/- worth scholarships have been given to Civil Aspirants of Manipur state through TSA office. Scholarships of different percentage ranging from 10% to 100% of the total fees shall be given to deserving students. Scholarship test will be conducted on 27th May, 2018 across six ALS centres in the state. He also handed over a sum of Rs. 2,00,000/- each to Shri Th Radehshyam and Smt Nemcha Kipgen as sponsorship of two students nominated from their home constituencies.

Chief Guest of the ceremony Shri Th Radehshyam, Hon’ble Education Minister appreciates ALS & TSA team for bringing and guiding the young mind in the state to become civil servants. He also appeals for all future civil servants to be more social minded.

Guest of Honour Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, ​​Hon’ble Social Welfare Minister lauded the three successful candidates of 2017 Civil Services Examination, for bringing laurels to the State and also called upon civil societies to carry out such efficient initiative more often which will eventually create young minds so as to channelize their dreams into a fruitful one.

Due to sudden development and official visits of central team, special guest of the function Dr J. Sureh Babu, Chief Secretary of Manipur could not attended the ceremony on time. The function ended with a vote of thanks from Shri Imdong Anar, Regional Manager, North East, ALS.
