Philip Nikolayev a Russian Poet at Imphal Literature Festival today. Philip is one of the founding editor of Fulcrum – an annual of poertry and aesthetics. His collection of poem Monkey Time (2003) won a Verse prize.
Philip Nikolayev had a very interactive discussion on poetry with inquisitive participants.He also recited few of his poems.
Swapan Kumar Nath from Bangladesh who did his M.Phil degree in linguistics on the topic – “Manipuri Community in Bangladesh and their language situation”at Dhaka University reciting poems at Imphal Literature Festival, JN Dance Academy.
Malemnganba Waikhom of Shishu Nista Niketan stood first position in – “on the spot painting competition for Class 6 to 8 category” held in connection with the ongoing ImphalLiterature Festival.
Telen Khaidem of DAV Public School stood second and P. Babina of Mega Manipur stood third position.
