Work’s Minister Ratankumar, MLA Kipgen including journalists and engineer defended from possible ambush by security personnel.

Security personnel numbering around 50 who were escorting Kh Ratankumar Works Minister exchange several rounds of bullet at around 11.30 in the morning today. The incident took place at Parsian Village inter village road, Gopibung, Kangpokpi under Senapati District. However no casualty was reported. The minister along with his officials,local MLA and Journalists went there to inspect the Inter Village Road today. Five armed militants in full combat dress were spotted standing on their way. The security personnel swing to quick action and fired upon them as a precautionary measure. Several rounds of bullets were heard and there was a possibility of exchange of bullets from both the side. The battle lasted around 10 minutes. The armed cadres in full combat dress were unidentified. The team who went for the inspection visit at Gopibung a hilly place were Nemcha Kipgen MLA, Kangpokpi, Pradipkumar Mukherjee Additional Additional Chief Engineer Works, Social Worker Henry. Eye witness to the incident says that everyone was crawling and the bullets were fired after securing a quick position. However no one was injured in the incident.
