A women only play on the 6th day of the 41st All Manipur Shumang Leela Festival . Titled “Nura Santhalembi” it is a play based on one of th e folk tales of Moirang. Produced by the Shiva Jatra cum Drama Association, it depicts beautifully the tragic life of Nura Santhalembi. Unlike the male only Shumang Leela ,the “Nupi Shumang leela are not that popular among the masses. The play like many other nupi leela was seen with empty chairs. Currently showing at Iboyaima Sanglen, the festival is organised by the Manipur State Kala Akademi.
