Rajnish, Chief General Manager NE Region inaugurates Regional Business Office, Imphal Region at Babupara today. In a press meet the GM expressed that the inconveniences of not having a regional office in earlier times will be solved. Credit process will be efficient, sanctioning of loan will be quicker, and address of issue on various services will be more convenient. Earlier Manipur SBI banks were taken care of by the Regional office at Shillong.
He further informed that there are altogether 30 SBI branches in Manipur and five more is coming up soon. In the next 30 days Moreh town will have a new branch.
On query to the frequent malfunctioning of ATM booths in Manipur he informed that power failure, communication failure is the main reason and that they are trying to solve the matter. He also informed that in the last 6 months 40 new ATM booths have come up. By the end of August there will be more booths coming up.
Upon enquiry to lack of staff if any the GM said that there are adequate staffs and in the last 6 months 110 staffs were recruited for Manipur.
