Personnel of 18 Battalion Sikh Regiment donated units of blood in a Voluntary blood donation camp at its base camp. Jointly organised by Shija Blood Bank and transfusion Services, Langol the donation camp started early in the morning and 75 personnel donated their blood. The doctor from Shija Blood Bank expressed that the requirement of blood in the State is increasing day by day as hospitals in Manipur have started treating various ailments which was earlier referred to outside the State including major surgery. At the time of Child birth blood that is lost in 15 minutes needed to be replaced and number of accident have increase from the past with the increasing number of vehicles plying on the road.
