Manipur Governor Dr Ashwani Kumar on Sunday conferred annual Governor’s Award and other awards instituted by the Library & Information Centre, Kakching in a solemn function, XV Awards PresentationFunction 2013, held at Library and Information Centre, Kakching on August 25, 2003.

Apart from the Governor Dr Ashwani Kumar who was the chief guest, the function was also attended by Kakching MLA Y Surchandra Singh and Ksh Subadani, Councillor, Kakching Municipal Council were guest of honour and president respectively.
Before presenting the awards, the Governor released poetry book “Nungshibagee Lipun” and souvenir of the Library and Information Centre.
Giving advice to the students, the Governor said hard-work and sacrificial spirit should always go together. Meaningful education will prevail when an education policy based on self employment is adopted and implemented in the right way, he added.
