Assam Rifles organizes free medical camp at Machahal Village

Imphal, July 1: A free medical camp was organised by 40 Assam Rifles located at Canchipur under the aegis of HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles IGAR(S) at Irilbung Macahahal village, Imphal east under Military civic action  programme.

During the free medical camp organized in collaboration with Irilbung Youth Club, Machahal, around 150 people belonging to the Machahal village and surrounding villages were  examined by a medical team of Assam Rifles under three doctors with providing free medicines to the villagers.

Th. Suni Singh, secretary of Irilbung Youth club said that the initiative of Assam Rifles for organizing such medical camp is a generous task of social service apart from their hectic and risky work o0f protecting the nation. The camp has benefitted the poor villagers who cannot afford buying of medicines. The club will continue organizing such camp in collaboration with Assam rifles, he said and appealed the AR authority to take up some other developmental works a too in future in public interest under MCA programme.
