Imphal, August 6: Army Personals of 5/9 Gorkha Rifles of Loktak Brigrade under Red shield Division at Gothol on Thursday donated their blood in connection with the No replacement month observance organised by Association of voluntary blood donors, Manipur.
At least, 24 Army personals including Commanding officer and other Ranks of Gorkha Rifles and 19 civilian donors from Moirang, Tronglaobi and Naransena area donated blood during a voluntary blood donation camp held at the premises of 5/9 Gorkha Rifles camp.
The blood donation camp was to mark the 48th Anniversary of battle honour day “PHILLORA”, a befitting tribute to those martyres who laid down their lives for this nation.
The voluntary blood donation camp was organised by Association of Voluntary blood donors, Manipur in collaboration with 5/9 Gorkha Rifles, Lions and Lioness club of Moirang and and Department of Immuno Hematology and Transfusion Unit, RIMS under the sponsorship of MACS/SBTc, said a press communique signed by Kh. Samarjit Singh, secretary of AVBD, Manipur.
