M/S Pibaran Industries has formally launched its new packaged drinking water brand ERA in a function held at the company’s office located at Heibongpokpi Lamsang in Imphal west.
The launching ceremony was attended by Retired Joint Director, AIR Imphal BB Sharma as chief guest, Y Sushilla Devi, Councillor, Lamshang Nagar Panchayat as president and Phurailatpam Baleshor Shatma as Guest of honour.
Speaking to the gathering, BB Shrama retired Joint Director AIR said that water is important for life. No living beings can live without water for long. For living healthy, drinking of good water is also important.
He said that there was hardly any packaged drinking water manufacturing industry in the state years back. The state has recently witnessed many packaged drinking water manufacturing companies coming up in the state.
These companies are providing employment to many jobless youths of the state while providing quality drinking water to the people at affordable cost. Coming up of many industries is a sign of good development in the economically and industrially backward state like Manipur, he said while appealing the people to encourage the budding dedicated local entrepreneurs by utilizing the locally manufactured products.
ERA packaged drinking water brand manufactured by M/S Pibaran is a joint venture of four brothers namely M Basanta, M Ratankumar, M Arunkumar and M Nadakumar hailing from Uripok yambem Leikai.
The manufacturing company is providing employment to 48 people. With the financial assistance provided by Punjab and Sind Bank, Imphal and personal investment, the four brothers could materialize their prolonged dream to set up the Industry in the state.
