50 personnel of 6/8 Gorkha Rifles including 6 civilians donated blood organized at the premises of 6/8 Gurkha Rifles under Loktak Brigade of the Red Shield Division at Bishnupur District.
The voluntary blood donation camp was organized in connection with the ongoing observance of No-Replacement Month from 10 AM till 1.00
The camp was organized jointly by Association of Voluntary Blood Donors, Manipur with its Bishnupur District Branch, 6/8 Gorkha Rifles of the Red Shield Division & Department of Immuno- Hematology & Blood Transfusion, RIMS, Imphal.
Mention also be made that under the sponsorship of MACS/SBTC-Manipur, No-Replacement Month is being observed at the Govt. Hospitals of Manipur (viz RIMS, JNIMS & other Distt. Hospitals) starting 14th June, 2013 till 13th July, 2013, as extended in connection with the World Blood Donor Day (14th June, 2013) under the theme“ Give the Gift of Life: Donate Blood”.
