16 th May 2018 , HealthCity, Langol : Shija Hospitals & Research Institute and National Health Mission, Nagaland signed an MOU for surgical treatment of Cleft lip and Cleft Palate, Congenital Heart Diseases (CHD),Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH), Congenital Cataract, Congenital Deafness, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Otitis Media, Dental Carries and Vision Impairment under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) programme. Under the said agreement, beneficiaries of RBSK for children from birth to 18 years with the above mentioned birth defects can avail of sponsored treatment facilities at Shija Hospitals, Manipur. The beneficiaries have to be referred by RBSK Nagaland.
The MOU was signed between Dr. Kh. Palin, CMD Shija Hospitals and Dr. Kevichusa, Mission Director (NMH), Nagaland at Mission Director (NHM) Office, Nagaland in the presence of Dr.Thanghoi Lam, State Programme Officer (NHM) Nagaland and Dr. Khriesi Sachu, Nodal Officer RBSK (DHFW) Nagaland.
Shija Hospitals & Research Institute is already empanelled by Govt. of Nagaland since 2 nd March,2006 vide letter no. MED/FW-10(B)99 for the purpose of medical treatment of Nagaland State Government Employees and their dependants. Also, Shija Hospitals is also recognized by RBSK Manipur for treatment of Children from birth to 18 years with birth defects listed under RBSK Scheme.
