HealthCity, Langol: With an initiative to reach out to the public on enlightening healthy living among the children and adolescence, Shija Paediatrics & Neonatology Department organized a “Paediatrics Health Talk” at St. Savio School, Thangmeiband Meisnam Leikai on 8th March, 2016. The initiative made by Shija Paediatrics & Neonatology Department coincides with the ongoing School Health Week which has been observed around the world from 4th March to 8th March 2016. An interactive session by Dr. Sachikumar Kh., Consultant Paediatrician & Neonatologist, Shija Hospitals with the students, parents and staffs of the school took place on comprehensive care from birth through adolescence. During the Health Talk and interactive session, Dr. Sachikumar Kh. gave detailed explanation on the importance of maintaining a healthy body among the children and adolescence and responded to health queries arose by participants. Distribution of Vitamin A supplements were also carried out to the students up to 5(five) years of age. Risk-scoring for illness related to children and adolescence and distribution of Awareness Leaflets were the main highlights of the camp. Two Staff Nurses of Shija Hospitals, staffs & teachers of St. Savio School supported the observation of School Health Week.
