Charei Khudol Exhibition kicks off at Panthoibi Arcade, Wangkhei
IMPHAL, April 8: Minister of Works, Power, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Commerce & Industry, IPR, Administrative Reforms & Training Shri Thongam Biswajit Singh said that state government has taken up initiative to revive the Spinning mill at Loitam Khunou which has been lying defunct for years.

The minister inaugurated the Charei Khudol Exhibition at Panthoibi Arcade, Wangkhei opposite Eastern Ground, today.

The felicitation of the Minister cum inaugural function was also attended by Deputy Chairman State Planning Board S Rajen Singh as president and Chingtam Luwang of Handloom Promotion Council and Smt P. Meenakumari Devi Project Manager District Handloom & Textiles, Imphal East as guests of honour.

Minister Bishwajit said, the state could be economically self-reliant through handloom and handicraft sector and state government is fully committed to develop these sectors with every available sources.

The Minister inspected the various stalls opened as part of the exhibition.
