Shija Eye Care Foundation in collaboration with Self Help Group, Laiphrakpam jointly
organized a comprehensive eye camp at Laiphrakpam Makha Leikai Primary School on 9th
November, 2015. The camp was sponsored by SEVA Foundation and Focusing Philanthropy.
Also Shija Eye Care Foundation in collaboration with Maibam Youth Club cum Library
organized a comprehensive eye camp at their club premises on 10th November, 2015.
The eye camp at Laiphrakpam Makha Leikai Primary School was inaugurated by Shri S.
Achouba Singh, Vice President (MPCC) & Vice Chairman (Khadi and Village Industry). 129
nos. of patients were examined for eye related problems. 30 cataracts, 5 pterygiums and 2
PCO were diagnosed during the camp. Dr. Sarda Ch., Consultant Ophthalmologist along with
other supporting staff of Shija Eye Care Foundation examined the patient.
And in the eye camp at Maibam Youth Club cum Library, 148 nos. of patients were examined
for eye related problems. 12 cataracts and 13 pterygiums were diagnosed during the camp. Dr.
Sachindra Laishram, Consultant Ophthalmologist along with other supporting staff of Shija Eye
Care Foundation examined the patient.
