HealthCity, Langol, 2nd January, 2016: Shija Paediatrics & Neonatology Department in association with Cipla organized Free Influenza Vaccination for Children (2 years and above) at Shija Hospitals on 1st January, 2016 and at Shija Clinic Thoubal on 2nd January, 2016. A single dose of vaccination in the form of nasal spray was given to the children, which will help them prevent from influenza virus for at least one year. A team led by Dr. Yaikhomba Taorem, Consultant Child Specialist & Neonatologist, Shija Hospitals administered the free influenza vaccination for 220 children at Shija Hospitals, Langol and 70 children at Shija Clinic Thoubal. Risk-scoring for infectious diseases caused by Influenza (Flu) Virus, counseling and distribution of awareness leaflets at the end of vaccination were the major highlights of the camp.
