General Tintong who fought against the Imperialists British Army remembered for his heroic act and stand as the Commander in Chief of Kuki Army. His Statue is being erected at Songpi hilltop few miles away from the main town. His heroic deed in defending his native land during 1917 – 19 stands tall till today. Site for a war memorial hall and Kuki traditional home are earmarked in and around the place where the Statue is being erected. (Photo : 20131210-04)
