SUKHAM MARUTOMBI MANGANG (Born 1929) of Pishumthong, Imphal,
an IA, Hindi Parangat, BT; Retired High School Teacher, a BACHELOR who has been devoting his life to the causes of Meitei, A BRAVE Man who forced Assam Rifles Authority to issued an authorization Letter in 1969 by which Himself and 24 of his friends had been allowed to enter KANGLA any day anytime at their will for worshiping. Since then he has been staying inside the KANGLA as the one and only UNSUNG Custodian of SACRED PLACES inside the KANGLA.
Presently he is staying in a makeshift home just beside a Mango Tree known as YAIBILEN SHIDABA UPAAL (Immortal Tree) which is believed to had been planted by MAICHOU TARET (Seven Polymath) during the reign of Meidingu Garibniwaz (1709 – 1748 AD) ….
