YUMKHAIBAM NANAO – DELHI TO IMPHAL WALKING RALLY (2500 KM)

YUMKHAIBAM NANAO WILL BE WALKING ACROSS INDIA TO REACH IMPHAL WITH THE MESSAGE OF “STOP CRIME AGAINST WOMEN” AND “NO TO DRUGS”.

July 25, 2018: Today at 12:30 pm the walking rally of YUMKHAIBAM NANAO from INDIA GATE, DELHI to KANGLA, MANIPUR was flagged off from the foot of India Gate, New Delhi by MLA Ashabuddin, Ch Kheiruddin Shah, President, DAMMS and cyclist Rohan Philem. A large number Mnaipuri students and diasporas from Delhi participated in support of Yumkhaibam Nanao. Today, he has covered around 40kms and bypassed New Delhi to reach Faridabad, Haryana. The flag off ceremony at India Gate , New Delhi was organized and sponsored by DELHI ASSOCIATION OF MANIPUR MUSLIM STUDENTS (DAMMS).

This is the first time in the History Manipur and North East to walk Across the country to Reach Manipur on foot.Yumkhaibam Nanao is Representing the pride and honour of Manipur across the country. He will cover around 2500kms walking across the routes of New Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh , Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, either Meghalaya or Nagaland to reach Manipur

Yumkhaibam Nanao is a young Athlete from Lilong Haoreibi Awang leikai. He is just 22 years old. He has participated in a number of State level, National level and international level Athletic competitions. His motivation of walking across India to reach his motherland Manipur has always been a dream since childhood. This motivation drived him to take this incredible decision to start the rally with the messages of the burning issues in Manipur:

1.Stop all forms of Crime against women.

2.No to Drugs and Stop Drug abuse of any form.

3. National Integration.
