Imphal, 10th May, 2017(DIPR): Social WelfareDepartment is an important department for the welfare and development of the society and for the state too, said Minister for Social Welfare and Cooperation Smt. Nemcha Kipgen while addressing on the reception function by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur today at Bal Bhavan, Khuman Lampak.
Nemcha further stated that the department should be a torch bearer for bringing development for all. As Social Welfare is one such department that directly deals with all sections of the society including children, women, old-age, differently able groups and the weaker sections of the society, she added.
Social Welfare minister strongly condemn corruption in any forms within the department and the staff and if anyone is found involve in such act, there won’t be any excuse. It may be mentioned that the BJP led government under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh aims at transparency and a corrupt free society.
The function was attended by Principal Secretary J.C. Ramthanga, IAS, Director, Social Welfare, Surrender A.Shishak and officials of the department.(DIPR)
