Imphal, May 19, 2017 (DIPR) : Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandary Minister Shri V. Hangkhanlian inspected Agriculture Office of Wangbal, District Agriculture Office, Thoubal, District Agriculture Office of Porompat, Imphal East and District Agriculture office of Lamphelpat, Imphal West District, today.
The Minister was given a warmed welcome by the Staff members where he went to inspect departmental offices. At Wangbal the Minister inspected the building which was under construction for Rice Research Institute, Rice Breeder House, Farm Science Centre, Krishi Vigyan Kendra. During the inspection, the Minister interacted with the staff members about the requirement of infrastructures for the offices, man power, shortage of experts for soil testing, need of extention of rooms, fencing, repairing buildings etc. After patient hearing, as new government was formated, whatever possible way would be look into, the Minister assured. The Minister asked the staff of each department to work sincerely for the overall development of Agricultural Sector in the State.
During his inspection of a Godown of Agriculture office at Lamphelpat, the member of the staff requested him to extend help for repairing the bad condition of the approach road. The Minister said that according to the availability of fund, he would look into the matter in future. (DIPR)
