MEGA MANIPUR SCHOOL DONATES RS 15,000 FOR FLOOD VICTIMS

Imphal, June 17, 2017 (DIPR): Students, teaching and non-teaching staffs of the Mega Manipur School, Yaralpat today met Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh at Chief Minister’s Secretariat and donated Rs 15,000 towards the CM Relief fund to help people who were severely affected by the recent floods in the State.

Expressing gratitude, Chief Minister said that such noble step would help those people who are affected by natural calamities in the State. He further said that global warming is a threat and has brought many serious environmental and social changes in the State as well as in the world. Nature doesn’t need us, people need nature for survival so we must preserve and respect nature, he added. He appealed the people of the State to show unity among us and help each other in such bad times.

It may be mentioned that thousands of people are displaced and hundreds of houses have been inundated by flood in the recent incessant rains in various areas of the State. (DIPR)
