AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON GOVT SCHEMES HELD

Kangpokpi Oct. 6, 2017 (DIPR): Mass social awareness programme for spreading public awareness regarding various Govt. schemes was held today at Brig. Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi.

The programme was organised by Jwalamukhi Battalion (38 AR) with logistic support from District Administration, Kangpokpi.

Altogether, 25 departments/offices in the district showcased their work and role at their respective alloted stalls apart from providing employment guidance cell for youth looking for job oppotunities and a free medical check-up camp by 38 Assam Rifles.

Shri T. Ranjit Singh accompanied by CO, 38 Assam Rifles inspected the stalls. They were impressed to see the enthusiasm of the participants. A pipe band display by 38 AR and cultural dances were also shown during the programme.

The DC, Kangpokpi and the CO, 38 AR enlightened and briefed the gathering about why the central or state governments schemes for the upliftment of the people are not benefitted by the people, projects planned for Kangpokpi district, projects already implemented and projects in progress, various schemes and facilities provided for the welfare of the people etc. during the programme.
