Imphal, October 27, 2017 (DIPR): Textiles, Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Thongam Biswajit Singh chaired the first meeting of the Manipur State Industrial Development and Socio-Economic Advisory Committee at the Conference Hall of his New Secretariat Office, today.
Minister Biswajit sought suggestions, inputs and other critical assessment of the draft of the Industrial and Investment Policy of Manipur from the members of the Advisory Committee.
The Minister said the main objective of the policy is to attract investors into the State and help in eradication of poverty.
Principal Secretary Textiles, Commerce and Industry Shri P. Vaipheiinvited the members and experts for ideas and inputs on what to suggest for inclusion in the North East Industrial and Investment Policy which is under formulation.
Minister (Textiles, Commerce &Industry) is the chairman of the committee. There are 17 members of the committee. Joint Secretary Textiles, Commerce & Industry Laltanpuii Vanchhongis the convenor of the committee. (DIPR)
