Imphal, November 11, 2017 (DIPR): Education Minister Shri Thokchom Radheshyam Singh today visited the Senapati Aided Junior High School located at the Tusii Nganii Khumai Senapati Village (TNK Senapati village).
The Minister was delighted to see many students studying at the school. The school though lacks certain infrastructural condition; he was pleased to have interacted and met the students at the school.
He also inspected the school campus. On learning the lack of proper toilet facility in the co-ed school, he said from his side he will help in constructing a proper toilet for the students.
He was at the Senapati district for the 17th Foundation Cum Parent’s Day Celebration of Brook Dale Higher Secondary School, Senapati. In the Celebration as chief guest, he said that education is to remain relevant in future. Education through positive learning and teaching, provides skill, knowledge and better understanding of the issues making one a holistic person thus becoming a solution provider rather than becoming part of the problem.
He said that children must be given what they expect from the elders and teachers. Their expectations and wants need to be understood by the teachers and elders by introspecting of what they had expected from their teachers and elders when they were children, he added. For providing better future and to make the innate talent of the children developed, he appealed the parents and teachers not to pressurize the children but to let them grow and become innovative and creative.
He advised the students to respect and obey the elders. He also asked the teachers to treat the students as their own children with love and affection.
The celebration was attended by Chairman, ADC, Senapati Shri M. L. Markson, Deputy Commissioner Shri Athem Muivah, C. O. 34AR Shri Col. G. K. Mahendra, ADC members, teachers, non teaching staffs, students and parents. (DIPR)
