CM RELEASES 100 DAYS ACHIEVEMENTS AND INITIATIVES OF VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS LAUNCHES ‘DIPR MANIPUR APP’AND MSJWS

Imphal, 30th June, 2017 (DIPR): Chief Minister of Manipur Shri N. Biren Singh today released achievements of various departments under 100 days programmes along with the launching of DIPR Manipur Apps and Manipur State Journalists Welfare Scheme in the presence of Eminent Thinker, Author & Director, India Foundation Shri Ram Madhav, Ministers Shri Th. Biswajit Singh (IPR), Smt. Nemcha Kipgen (Social Welfare), Shri Kayisii (Tribal Affairs and Hills), Chief Secretary Shri O. Nabakishore and Commissioner IPR, Shri K.Radhakumar Singh at City Covention Centre, Palace Compound.

The dignitaries also released a multi-coloured booklet titled “DIPR in 100 Days”, a 50-Minute Documentary Film on 100 Days of New Government led by CM Biren, achievement on electrification of 63 villages under the 100 days programme of MSPDCL, achievement on construction of 150 km road under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Booklet on the Initiative of Department of Horticulture in 100 Days and and achievement of Planning Department in 100 days was also released on the occasion.

As a part of the programme, CM and the dignitaries present at the function had live interaction with the villagers of Khuninglung Village of Chandel and Khummunom Village of Churachandpur through video conference. The villagers expressed extreme happiness and gratitude towards the government for this massive initiative of electrification of the villages. During the interaction, CM assured better road-connectivities in the near future.

Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh said that the next target of the government is to improve road connectivity and communication in hill areas. Due to lack of infrastructure in the hills, doctors, teachers and other officials are not ready to go for posting. The government is planning to provide required infrastructure for the government employees who are posted at far flung areas of the state and ambulance having emergency facility in every headquarters in every district.

Citing the launching of Manipur State Journalists Welfare Scheme, Shri N.Biren stated that journalists who are contributing a lot in the society don’t have any kind of recognition after their retirement. Under the new launched scheme, an amount starting from Rs 50000 to 2 lakhs will provide to them particularly for their medical and health matters.

The CM further stated that implementation part is the most crucial part of various schemes. He urged to all officials concerned of various departments to monitor and review the progress and implementation of the schemes or programme which has been launched under 100 days programme of the government. As there is need of cross checking the system, we need to trust ourselves. Regarding the DIPR MANIPUR APP, Shri N. Biren said that if anyone missed out to read newspaper they can read government related news instantly through this app.

Sharing the achievement of first 100 days, Chief Minister said that the government will not lose its momentum, will continue to strive for growth and development of the state. In coming years, his government is trying to provide drinking water in rural areas and for this he has submitted a project costing around 2300 crores. The CM added that his government is committed in providing better health care system, better education and generating employment to youth. Within one week, discussing with his council of minister, he will announced next year target of the government. Long lasting of our service depend on our performance. As long as we serve with sincerity, our service will last long, Biren added.

Shri Ram Madhav, who attended the function as special guest, lauded the achievement of the state government during short span of time. He said the achievement is tremendous and as the government was able to lift the blockade and solved the Churachandpur issue . He said that lifting the blockade is symbolic as it has also lifted the gap between the valley and hill. The government was able to brought permanent peace in Churachanpur and Imphal-Jiribam Road has been restored.

Shri Ram Madhav stated that the government should keep up the momentum and target for the next year. He said that the state government should target to bring progress, prosperity and peace in the state. The government should hold talks with UGs and should bring them back to mainstream.

Speaking on the occasion, IPR Minister Shri Th Biswajit stated that 100 days programme of the government has been achieved successfully, and the present government will strives more for growth and development in the state. He said that PMAY-G has been launched with an aim for providing houses to homeless people and his main concerned is provide the scheme to genuine beneficiaries.

Sharing the government achievement, he said Ujala Yojana has been launched with an aim to save money and energy. Under this scheme one can purchase 9w bulb at Rs 70 and 20w tube-light at Rs 230. Regarding DIPR Manipur Apps, Minister said this apps is being launched for the welfare of the people, so that people can get news instantly.

The Minister also said that 50 villages has been electrified, 13 villages has been partially electrified and the remaining unreached areas will be electrify by 2018. He also sought cooperation from the people and officials for successful implementation of the schemes.

Council of Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and officials of various departments were also present at the function. (DIPR)
