Government e-Market (GeM) was officially launched in the State of Manipur in the Cabinet Hall of the CM’s Secretariat. Department of Information Technology, Government of Manipur became the first Department to procure product from the GeM portal and the product was delivered and handed over to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Manipur by a registered seller in the GeM Portal from the State of Manipur.
GeM is a completely paperless, cashless and system driven e-market place that enables procurement of common use goods and services with minimal human interface.
