Imphal, 10th May 2017 (DIPR): Education Minister Shri Th. Radheshyam said for growth and progress, updating of main personnel employed in any organisation with latest knowledge is a requirement and a must for education department as it plays an important role of shaping the society by educating the human minds. The minister was speaking as Chief Guest in the inaugural function of one month Induction Training Programme of Manipur Education Service Officers at State Academy of Training, Takyelpat, today.
The Minister said the Manipur Education Service Officers should act as a catalyst of positive change for better development of education and as a whole to enhance the society towards progress. He also suggested to the participants of the training to carry out an assessment, in groups, by giving a specific topic related to education and its issues, which can help them, gain more knowledge and understanding of education as well as to build seriousness towards such training programme. The feedback should also be collected with the winding up of the programme in order to utilise such feedback for better planning in future, he added.
Education is a task that requires familiarisation of new concepts and ideas. Thus he said the trainees who will be imparted such task should try their best to mingle with each other by changing teams frequently. For whosoever present here for the training, he said, is getting a big chance to share the experiences, the knowledge and the skill amongst each other. He is delighted to find out that there is maximum number of interaction programme in the session. The session has been imbibe with varied topics like office procedure, introduction to services in the government, organisational structure of the deptt., leave rules, national pension system, income tax, SSA & RMSA, mid day meal prog., national educational policy, etc.
Director Education (S) N. Praveen said the MES Officers has been brought into service after much struggle to introduce such service, which we dreamt of, in order to make the better functioning and implementation of education in the state, the dream which has now come true.
L. Nandakumar Singh, Deputy Secretary Education (S) E/O Additional State Project Director, RMSA stated that the Education department is now ready to go ahead for the better growth of education by carrying out their duties and roles overcoming their shortcoming through today’s induction training.
