JAC OF AMTUC & AMGEO CALLED ON CHIEF MINISTER N. BIREN SINGH

Imphal, April 21, 2017: A 15 member delegation comprising of Core Committee and Executive Committee members of Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions’ Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Govt. Employees’ Organisation (AMGEO) led by its President Khaidem Mani and Secretary General L. Biken Singh called on Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh at his office chamber today.

            In the courtesy call on his becoming the Chief Minister of Manipur, the members of the JAC also discussed their pending demands including implementation of 7th Central Pay with the Chief Minister. Giving a positive nod to the demands of the Apex organisation of the state government employees, Chief Minister said that the adoption of 7th Central Pay in the State would be considered   after the Fitment Committee headed by the Chief Secretary, which was constituted to look into the matter of adoption of 7th central pay in the state of Manipur, submits its report to the government. The JAC also expressed their happiness and gratefulness to the Chief Minister on the fulfilment of one of their demands i.e. to discontinue the re-engagement of employees after retirement on superannuation which is in the list of their 22 point charter of demands already submitted to the previous government.
