MIN BISWAJIT HEARS PUBLIC GRIEVANCES ON MEEYAMGI NUMIT

Imphal, 16th August, 2017 (DIPR):As part of the BJP led government’s initiative to dedicate 15th of every month for the public, Works, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Commerce, Industries and Textiles,Administrative Reforms and Training, Information and Public Relations and PowerMinister ShriThongamBiswajit Singh today met the public and heard their grievances.

Minister Biswajit said that, the government takes the ‘MeeyamgiNumit’ seriously as it was initiated so that the government could listen to and understand the grievances and aspirations of the public.

Many of the people visiting the minister today also included those coming from the border area villages. A group of villagers from border area in Senapatiappealed to the Minister to provide power connectivity and solar lighting systemsin their village.

Major issues highlighted before the Minister also included appeals for installation of transformers, renovation of quarters at Langol Game Village, repairing of road leading and water supply in the Game Village, construction and renovation of PMGSY roads.

People also appealed for activation of Stevia plantation in Mao area as was assured by the Minister while inaugurating a 33/11 kV Power Sub Station in the sub-division on August 14. Several individuals also appealed for inclusion in the beneficiaries’ lists of the PradhanMantriAwasYojana. Many others appealed for repairing of bridges, culverts in their areas.

On his part, the Minister assured the public to look into all their grievances and act accordingly.Minister Biswajit started meeting the public since morning at his official quarter, which later continued at his New Secretariat office till 8pm. (DIPR)
