Imphal, 27th May, 2017 (DIPR): Education Minister Shri Th. Radheshyam said time management is the key to success. The biggest ability is to use one’s time effectively or productively. Time, he said, can neither be spent in advance not later, but once gone will never return.
The Minister was speaking as Chief Guest on the Prize Distribution Ceremony of Higher Secondary Examination 2017 held at the Millennium Institute of Sciences, Kwakeithel, declared recently. To be positively relevant and a successful person, he said, one has to have the ability to set goal, to sacrifices for others, hard working and be ready with an open mind to grab every opportunity that comes on the way.
Further he said, the best school is life and the best teachers are the experiences. In every corner of life there will be challenges and thus to be able to face all these challenges of life, he explained, one should equipped oneself with positive thoughts, attitude, perceive things optimistically, developed ability to take decisions and find solutions to be successful. In life, there are no failures but only lessons to be learned, he added.
Every child has a specific strength and weaknesses, and to identify their strength paving their life towards success is the task of the teachers and parents, he said. Children should never be bind within a limit of what they can and they can’t do but should be tried to bring out their limitless ability by supporting and encouraging them endlessly. He urged the students to be caregivers, a source of joy imbibe with the positive thoughts and views to lead the society towards the betterment.
Children need to be made aware of why they have been admitted to a particular school or any school and why they need to be educated, he said. Education, he elaborated, is not just to score good marks or get a job but to be trained to be able to contribute, to remain positive, compassionate and sacrifice for better future.
COHSEM Secretary Dr. M. Bidyasagar said the numbers of successful students in the national competitive examinations for admission to higher technical education need to be increased, for the state has been experiencing decline in the number. For the students losing their years in readying for admission to such higher technical education, he said he feels that there is a need of the teaching methodology practiced in imparting education in the state to be improved and upgraded for better development of human resource to be able to safeguard the dreams of the children. Students need to be made to apply in their life whatever they have learned and received in their education, he added.
Parliamentary secretary, Education Shri K. Robindro Singh said education is the backbone of the society and in pursuing education one should clearly bear in mind that it is one of the means that can make the world a better place to live in with sincere effort. (DIPR)
Prizes were distributed to the students who stood second and third position and to those who scored letter marks in the recently declared Higher Secondary Education Examination, 2017 result of the school. In the ceremony Parliamentary Secretary Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Th. Dingo Singh, Sapam Leirak Gram Panchayat Pradhan Shri Athokpam Bishorjit Singh, Principal, teachers and students of the school also attended.
at the same time the honb’le education minister is requested to abstain from attending functions of privates schools as the chief guest.
