BISHNUPUR OBSERVES VANAMAHOTSAVA

Bishnupur, July 7 (DIPR): The 68th Vanamahotsava (the festival of forests) was observed today at Bishnupur district headquarter. The main observation was held at the New Mini-Secretariat Office (DC Office) at Bishnupur.
Chairman of the Manipur Pollution Control Board Shri L Radhakishore was the chief guest of the function, while Bishnupur DC Shri Bobby Waikhom and Bishnupur SP Shri Jodhachandra Haobijam were the important dignitaries. DLOs of various departments also attended the function.
The main highlight of the observation was the planting of trees at the Mini-Secretariat Complex. Later, the dignitaries also went to various other areas of the district such as Tera-Urak Industrial Estate etc and plant trees to conserve the degrading ecosystem. (DIPR)
