Senapati, June 1, 2017 (DIPR): A special drive to enroll left out electors – 2017 under the theme “No voters to be left behind’ will be organise from 1st to 31st July, 2017. This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati District Athem Muivah in a Press Conference held in his office chamber today.
The DC who is also the DEO said that the overall objective of the special drive includes, to increase the enrolment percentage in the age group of 18-19 years above 80% of the population, to increase the enrolment of youth between the age group of 18-21 years, registration of disable person of 18-21 years age group and removal of the deceased names.
The submission and receiving of fresh applications giving priority to left out eligible voters of 18-19 age group can be done by using form 6 at ERO’s office, sending by post, online submission at NVSP, submission at CSC and door to door visit by BLO’s from 1st to 31st July, 2017.
Final electoral roll 2017 with its supplements shall be pasted on the wall of the polling stations for the citizens’ reference.
The DC further said that a special camp in this regard would also be conducted in all government and private educational institutions of the district on any two different days between 1st and 31st July, 2017.
