IMPHAL, NOVEMBER 10, 2017 (DIPR): Shri Thounaojam Shyamkumar, Minister of MAHUD, Town Planning, Forests and Environment and Horticulture and Soil Conservation today assured the students of Nirmalabas High School that he will extend all possible help to upgrade the school to higher secondary level.
Minister Th. Shyamkumar was addressing the students at the Children’s Day celebration cum annual prize distribution function at the Nirmalabas High School, MG Avenue, Imphal.
Stating that the students have a big responsibility in maintaining the good name of the school, Minister Shyamkumar advised the students not only to focus on studies but also follow good moral values and contribute in saving the environment. He also lauded the school for producing toppers in the State and appreciated the self-less sacrifices of the people involved in the missionary school.
He said punctuality, obeying the teachers and parents and participating in school activities are some of the key mantras to become successful in life. Appreciating the skit presented by students on endangered Sangai, Minister Shyamkumar said, we all have equal responsibility to save the wildlife and environment.
Sister Victima, Principal of Nirmalabas High School, lauded the Minister Th. Shyamkumar for his selfless effort of cleanliness work in the Imphal city especially in the market area. She said, his effort and strong determination is making a difference. She appreciated the Minister for his punctuality and for always helping people of every section of the society in need.
Cultural performances enthralled the teachers, non teaching staff and students at the function. Minister Th. Shyamkumar also presented annual prizes under different categories to the students. (DIPR)
