Soroma and her passion for cooking

“I have inherited my love for good food and much of my knowledge for cooking from my father who is a good cook.” says Soroma Mayengbam.  Soroma Mayengbam was born and brought up in Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai,  Imphal.  She loves to experiment and try out new dishes. According to her, “The more one experiments anything new, there are equal chances of failures but these failures can be taken as learning points and areas where one look for ways to improve and gain knowledge. ” Soroma has completed her 10th from Little Flower School, Imphal.  She did her B.A and M.A in English from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. She started her career in teaching in 2000. She has taught in Little Masters school in Samurou for about a year then moved to Brajalal Institute of Sciences and taught thete for about 2 years. After that, she joined Sainik School Imphal, spending about 5 years as an English teacher. She moved to Singapore in 2008 and, since then, she had been teaching in a secondary school.

She is also one among the dedicated admins of Facebook Chakhum Group and she contributes to it regularly. Her food recipes are coming up at Manipurtimes Chakhum channel.20150612-Soroma-foods
